    短对话的三种经典句型

    第一种句型：if/whether……

    If/whether引导的条件状语从句，年年有，可见其重要程度。

    M： Sure， but there is a lot of traffic everywhere today because of the football game.

    Q： What do we learn about the woman from the conversation？

    第二种是转折关系，此种类型几乎是每年必考之类别，且看12题。

    12题属于典型转折关系考点，考查的重点在转折词的后面，即答案从后面的转折句子中得出。先看一下原题：

    W： I really enjoyed the TV special about drafts last night. Did you get home in time to see it？

    M： Oh， yes， but I wish I could have stayed awake long enough to see the whole thing.

    Q： What does the man mean？

    根据题干要求"What does the man mean？"，可以将答案锁定到the man的话语中，具体是but I wish I could have stayed awake long enough to see the whole thing.答案是根据这句话做的同义转换得出的正确选项。

    第三种经典词组重现。

    2010年6月 17题、2001年1月第5题、2002年第9题，同时考过 stay awake，重点短语重复出现值得引起重视。
